ideas for Kirkmount website redesign

I've been wanting to do a redesign of the kirkmount website and I wanted to get some opinions on the following two design options:

    I like option B best. For a couple of reasons: 1) I like the picture at the top, 2) it's just easier to read the text.

    I like option B, but I like the eye-catching nature of option A. So maybe Option B but with a little tweaking to make it a little less plain and more 3 dimensional.

    I would also vote for option B. You can also add a bit of color in places you want extra emphasis/contrast.

    I vote for B, too. One thing you might consider is the large amount of text: most people won't sit and read all that. You could put that on an "about us" type page.
