Images for Alex' new harp CD

It snowed the other day and we got some shots of Alex' old harp out in the woods. Why is Alex' harp in the woods? Well, after our house fire last year, we couldn't bear to just send the harp to the dump, although it was burnt beyond repair. We thought it would be more fitting to put it out in the woods where nature could provide a resting place and a new beauty for Alex' old friend.

We thought we may use some of the photos for Alex' upcoming harp CD.

ideas for Kirkmount website redesign

I've been wanting to do a redesign of the kirkmount website and I wanted to get some opinions on the following two design options:

Option A

Option B:

More flowers...

Gaillardia aristata and Erigeron speciosus. I was quite pleased with how these came out.
Penstemon strictus. I can't decide if I like this one or not.

Achillea millifolium- common Yarrow - one of my favorite little wildflowers, but tricky to paint, especially for me, as I have little patience for tiny details.

Two Illustrations for Seed Packets

A watercolor illustration of Perennial Blue Flax that I did for the wildflower seed company my husband and I are starting this year.

A watercolor illustration of Indian Paintbrush for the same.

I drew these for the 7-year-olds in my Sunday School class to go along with our lesson this coming Sunday. I think I'm happier with how the boy figure turned out. Hopefully the children will like them and won't just throw them away after church.

This little bird flew into my window last week. He fell into some garden wire piled up for the winter. I thought at first that he was just stunned, and that I'd be able to free him and send him on his way... but then I saw the trickle of blood from his beak... there was nothing I could do for him.

About Me

My photo
I'm a stay at home mom with 2 little boys. My husband and I met in college. I was and am a big fan of his celtic band, Kirkmount. I have a BA in Fine Art that doesn't earn me money, but was very rewarding, regardless.
